Malaria High Risk Areas

Anti malaria tablets such as atovaquone/ proguanil, chloroquine, doxycycline or mefloquine are usually advised in high-risk malaria areas, and precautions against mosquito bites are essential.

Cover your skin with clothing, use an effective insect repellent and sleep under an insecticide treated mosquito net. Check with your doctor or travel clinic to see which anti malaria tablets you should take. Malaria has become resistant to chloroquine in many areas.
