Mosquito Repellent Wrist Bands
Mosquito repellent wrist bands are a convenient way to prevent mosquito and other insect bites, without having to deal with messy sprays and lotions.
Mosquito repellent ankle and wrist bands providing 14 nights protection against biting insects. Micro-encapsulated with DEET, which is released as a fine vapour to create a protective halo around the wearer. No chemical absorption into the skin.
Mosquito bands such as Bug Guards - Mosquito Defence Insect Repelling Bands release the insect repellent DEET as a fine vapour. Other mosquito repellent bands use natural repellent, including Mosiband Insect Repellent Wrist/Ankle Bands, which contain Eucalyptus Maculata Citrodora Extract.
Mosquito Bands
The outwardly released insect repelling vapour forms a protective barrier, or 'halo', which repels mosquitoes, midges and other biting insects. The micro-encapsulated insect repellent is dispersed when a mosquito repellent wrist band is stretched or flexed by natural body movement.
A mosquito wrist band can provide up to 100 hours of protection against biting mosquitoes, after which time it should be replaced so as to avoid compromising its effectiveness.
Insect repellent wrist bands can be worn around your wrists or ankles, or even attached to a belt. They are adjustable to suit all sizes, for both adults and children, and are available in different colours.
Unlike topical mosquito repellents, no liquid chemicals come into contact with or are absorbed into the skin, so there is minimal danger of skin irritation or damage to fabrics. The insect repellent does not come off with increased humidity, or exposure to water or perspiration. Mosquito bands can even be worn when swimming.
Mosquito repellent bands will not get in the way of outdoor activities, such as golf and hiking, and they are helpful to people who may be irritated by sprays, or who suffer adverse reactions to having chemicals on their skin.
