Mosquito Net Hats

A hat with a mosquito net may be useful – even necessary – if you are on a fishing trip, gardening in the early morning or evening, camping or hiking in areas with high populations of biting insects.

Mosquito net hats consist of a fine mesh attached to a hat. Hats can be wide-brimmed with the added advantage of sun protection, or styled like a baseball cap. Some mosquito hat nets allow you to tuck the insect net away inside the hat when it’s not in use.

The fine mesh attached to a mosquito net hat drops down around your face and neck, providing total protection against insect bites – although you may feel a little self-conscious at first! Mosquito hat nets are lightweight, comfortable and cheap. They provide good ventilation and good visibility.

Hats with mosquito nets fold neatly away to a small size, which makes them easily transportable. They are often supplied with their own small storage bag.

Mosquito net hats are an effective alternative to topical insect repellents. Applying lotions and sprays to your face can be tricky and inconvenient, as they need to be reapplied frequently. A mosquito hat net saves you the bother.

Swarms of flying insects around your head are annoying, distracting, unsettling and depending on where you are, a hazard to your health because they carry potentially serious diseases such as malaria, West Nile virus or dengue fever.

So forget feeling silly and invest in a hat with a mosquito net to keep flying insects out of your face. The people getting eaten alive around you will be asking you where they can get one.
